About Us
Who we are
COVID-Safe South Bend is an early-stages mutual aid organization based in South Bend, IN. We focus on pandemic support and COVID action, providing resources, information, and material support to our greater Michiana community.
Through our live COVID-19 dashboard here on our website, regular wastewater surveillance updates on our Instagram, free N95 mask and COVID-19 test distribution, and additional pandemic safety resources shared both on our website and Instagram, we aim to equip our community with the tools they need to navigate the ongoing pandemic and keep themselves and others safe.
We are a small but mighty team of disabled (by Long COVID and otherwise) volunteers who are committed to practicing pandemic safety. We mask up when sharing air, test regularly, and stay up to date with the latest COVID-19 and other emerging/circulating pathogen news and research. We strive to practice inclusivity, accessibility, mutual support, and harm reduction in our daily lives and in our work with COVID-Safe South Bend.
Ableism sucks; be kind and wear a mask.
